BASICS Devon a lifesaving voluntary charity based in Devon are proud to be chosen to benefit from the amazing Co-op Local Community Fund 2021, when their support couldn’t be more crucial.
Dr Lauren Weekes Volunteer Immediate Care Doctor, a responder with the charity for 11 years, said “It’s been absolutely fantastic to be supported by the Co-Op again this year. Fundraising has been challenging because of COVID-19, and having such support means we can continue our vital service within our communities. The generosity of the Co-Op and its customers is making a real difference to us, and as such, the patients we treat. Thank you! “
The BASICS Devon participating stores are based in Plymouth, Torridge Way, Frogmore Avenue, Pike Road and Higher Compton but rest assured members can choose to support BASICS Devon no matter their location. Every time a member shops at the Co-op and scans their Co-op card, they earn a 5% reward for themselves, with a further 1% for local causes.
You can support BASICS Devon now. The more members that select BASICS Devon and shop with the Co-op, the more funds they will receive to help ease pain and suffering and save lives.
You can visit their page at https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/45251 and if you are not a Co-op member already, you can join online coop.co.uk/membership or by downloading the Co-op app.
This last year has been like no other for us all. Feelings of isolation and vulnerability, celebrations and holidays cancelled and missing loved ones, it's been a difficult journey and one that we all hope will come to a close soon. The sense of community spirit has been ever prominent and as a charity BASICS Devon have felt that from those across their beautiful county and want to thank all their supporters for their continued support.
