LOCAL LIFE SAVING CHARITY NEEDS YOUR VOTES TO SECURE VITAL FUNDING

BASICS Devon a small local charity needs your votes to help secure £5,000 worth of funding.

They want to help save lives in North Devon by having an additional emergency volunteer responder. This will make a huge difference to communities in remote rural areas, with a quick response time it will help save lives and ease the pain and suffering of those that are sick and injured.

Voting is now open until 20th November so please go online, support your local community and vote today at https://community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/view/4-2923

The Aviva Community Fund finances over 500 projects, big and small to communities across the UK, but BASICS Devon need to get as many votes as possible, to make it to the final to face the judges and hopefully be in with a chance of getting some much-needed funds.

Fundraising Manager Amie Bull asks for your votes “Please vote for BASICS Devon. I witness first-hand how our volunteer responders dedicate their lives to helping others in their local community. They have full time careers and young families of their own, yet are whole heartedly committed to volunteer to help save local lives and educate their communities in otherwise isolated areas. They really are life savers and they want to continue to invest in Devon and its people.”

BASICS Devon is a network of 14 emergency volunteer doctors providing immediate access to specialist medical care at the scene of an accident or illness. Making themselves available around the clock throughout the year, responding to incidents at the request of the South West Ambulance Service. So far BASICS Devon have responded to 338 call outs this year. The charity relies solely on donations.

People should vote to help save local lives as the first priority for their team of doctors and the motivation and dedication they have, is for the people in need in their local community, the patients they help and their loved ones, when no one else can.
