Charity places available in the 2022 TCS Virtual London Marathon on Sunday 2 October
· Chance for supporters to experience the joy of running a marathon their way
BASICS Devon has 3 Virtual London Marathon places for anyone who wants to raise crucial funds while experiencing the joy and togetherness of being part of the world’s biggest marathon.
On Sunday 3 October 2021, more than 35,000 participants took on the traditional course from London’s Blackheath to The Mall – while thousands more around the globe ran the 26.2 miles on the route of their choice in a virtual event.
Last year the BASICS Devon runners, Preethi Das, Annette Rickard and Paula Tobin took on the incredible challenge and raised an amazing £1700 to support the volunteer rural responders.
Now BASICS Devon is offering its supporters the opportunity to experience the Virtual London Marathon again, their way, at their own pace, wherever they choose.
The physical and mental health benefits of being active have been brought sharply into focus during the pandemic, and the 2022 TCS London Marathon offers people the chance to feel these benefits while raising much-needed funds for charity.
BASICS Devon has a limited number of places available in the Virtual London event and is encouraging anyone who missed out on the ballot to contact them. The runners will earn the coveted finisher’s medal and souvenir T-shirt and help raise vital funds for the volunteer immediate care doctors and save lives.
